Where Beauty Is Beyond The Bottle
Given the first rule of thumb "we are what we eat"-Authentically Branded also takes into account what's needed (externally) for the appearance of healthy strong hair. How it looks and how it feels has a direct impact on our daily morale, expresses our authentic personality, and often times (more than not) affects our self-confidence. Healthy hair is beautiful hair. To achieve this externally, our cleansers and conditioners are catered specifically to what supports healthy scalp and hair. The proper steps to implement are just as important.
1. Cleansing
Healthy hair regimen starts with using a sulfate-free shampoo that is packed with essential nutrients. The cleansing process is the first stage (externally) to feeding our hair properly. Why? When our hair is wet, the cuticle is open and ready to receive all the moisturizing and healing properties that is needed to re-balance our hair. Silk Protein Moisturizing Cleanser is infused with ingredients that will:
Moisturize your hair to help keep hair from over drying,
Humectant barrier
Restores PH levels
Thickening agent for lifeless hair
Adds volume and conditions without buildup
Protects hair color from fading due to washing
Coconut derived conditioner
Special UV absorber to help prevent damage to hair caused by sunlight
Pro-vitamin B5 adds shine and conditions hair
Silk Protein for conditioning and repair
Wheat amino acids help condition, add shine, and repairs hair
DIRECTIONS: Before wetting your hair, it is very important to detangle your hair first. Why? If your hair is coming straight out of a ponytail or style it is going to become difficult to properly cleanse and more than likely become even more tangled after the cleansing process. Which will also cause severe breakage. You should start detangling at the ends of your hair and gradually working your way toward to the top of your head to avoid breakage. A wide-tooth plastic comb preferable. Avoid any metal combs at all cost as the edges can lacerate your hair promoting split-damaged hair.
APPLICATION: Pour one (two for longer or thicker hair) tablespoons of cleanser directly in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together, making a lather and rub the cleanser over your hair. Gently rub your palms over your hair, and massage your scalp with your fingertips in a gentle kneading motion. Continue the massaging action for approximately 60 seconds and in between glide your fingers through your hair to wash hair shaft and to avoid tangles. If you wash your hair daily one wash is necessary. Our hair is in its most fragile state when wet. Be gentle while vigorously rubbing your scalp as it can sometimes lead you to further damage by way of hair breakage.
2. Conditioning
All hair textures benefit from the correct use of conditioning. Conditioners can often be misrepresented by claims such as “weighing the hair down or greasy texture.” Not exactly 100% true but can certainly happen if applied incorrectly according to texture. Example: Fine, limp, or porous hair, do not rub conditioner into your scalp or to the hair near your scalp to avoid weighing your hair down. Other textures, different lengths, and/or chemically processed hair needs to take into consideration the hair specifications based on current state.
The conditioning process is vital to healthy-shiny looking hair. Our Silky Conditioner with botanical extracts will penetrate hair with its structuring protein of differing molecular weights penetrate deeply within the hair shaft producing benefits like no singular protein can. Enriched with amino acids and vitamins, plus rice protein and corn protein will rebuild, strengthen, add shine and luster to damaged hair. It smoothes the hair cuticle aiding light reflection and is also accredited to:

APPLICATION: Pour a small quantity of conditioner into the palm of your hand, rub your hands together and smooth the conditioner over your hair, paying close attention to the hair shaft, and particularly the ends of your hair. May be used with heat for an extra special conditioning treatment. To avoid weighing your hair down, do not rub conditioner into your scalp or to the hair close to your scalp. If you find your hair loses body after conditioning, make sure that you are rinsing thoroughly with cooler water temperature. You want to ensure closing of the cuticle as it helps to protect your hairs’ inner layer.
